What is a Champion for Education?
A Champion is a volunteer who commits publicly to help the
Northern Kentucky education system move forward.
How can I be a Champion for Education?
Complete the form on the home page of this site or contact
Kristen Baker at Vision 2015, kbaker@vision2015.org.
Or, just get involved! There’s lots of ways to be a Champion.
Volunteer at your child’s school one day a week. Run for site-based
council. Attend school meetings. Demand quality child care. Show
employees you value education. Talk to your state legislator about
education issues. Encourage friends and family to make education
a top priority.
What are the benefits of being a Champion for Education?
As a Champion, you will receive periodic updates on important
education issues facing our region, as well as information on
how you can be involved in a wide variety of Champion activities.
It’s a great way to stay informed!
Do I need to have children in school to be a Champion?
No! As a community we must guarantee that every child, not
just your own, is prepared for school, supported inside and
outside of school, succeeds in school, enrolls in postsecondary
education and graduates and begins a career.
